Moisture Detection
Moisture that is inside a structure eventually transforms to mold and decreases the integrity of the building materials. Once the building materials are effected by water and evaporated the surface tempature is changed and using infrared thermography we can distinguish between wet and dry in measuring the thermal characteristics of wet materials or the dried and can provide images of the moisture damage. Many times damage can be detected long after the initial onset of the moisture.
To many owners of commercial and residential buildings, providing visual evidence of water infiltration to insurance companies can be a valuable tool since many times insurance adjusters can arrive after it has dried. Using our infrared cameras, we can document the water infiltration and provide you with a report that clearly details the extent of damage; this can then be used to properly assess damage claims.
Using Infrared Thermography can also assist Insurance companies in frivolous claims and eliminate the need of having a representative making an onsite inspection.
